The Aalbäumle wooden tower
Magnificent Panoramic Views

The 26 meter high wooden tower “Aalbäumle“, which is built on top of the Langert (Aalen´s landmark hill) is a worthwhile hiking destination. After climbing up to the viewing platform at a height of 24m you will be rewarded with a wide panoramic view stretching from the valley of Aalen and the Welland hill country to the Kaiserberge mountain range. Originally erected in 1898 the tower was rebuilt in its present form in 1992.

When weekend weather conditions are good, the hut at the base of the tower offers snacks and drinks. The flag flying on top of the tower indicates that the hut is open - or you can check the Aalbäumle website.
